A New Approach To Seasonal Allergies
Dr. Allan Magaziner joins Dr. Desilva to discuss sublingual desensitization, which uses orally administered drops or pills instead of shots, is a safer, less invasive approach to managing allergy symptoms. It is also more convenient – as it can be self-administered by the patient – and has been shown to cause no anaphylactic shock, a potential side effect of immunotherapy injection.
Dr. Allan Magaziner founder and director of the Magaziner Center for Wellness and a practicing compassionate physician, is one of the nation’s leading authorities on nutrition, preventive medicine and environmental illness. Dr. Magaziner has a keen interest in treating chronic illnesses such as chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, heavy metal toxicity, autism and cardiovascular disease as well as immune disorders such as cancer, chronic infections, thyroiditis and colitis. He has lectured extensively to physicians and the public both in the U.S. and abroad on health and nutrition-related topics, hosted his own radio programs for many years and has been widely quoted in national health magazines and newspapers. In March of 2007, he completed his second medical mission in Honduras where he helped treat hundreds of chronic pain patients with the use of prolotherapy under the auspices of the Hackett-Hemwall Foundation. Dr. Magaziner has functioned as one of the foundation’s esteemed clinical instructors and is noted for his expertise in treating chronic pain resulting from injuries and chronic arthritis.
