After a Spinal Cord Injury
Dr. Kenneth Parsons joins the show to discuss temperature regulations and how to alleviate dangerous blood pressure elevations after sustaining a spinal cord injury.
Dr. Kenneth Parsons is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with additional credentials in spinal cord injury care. He has worked at various rehabilitation centers of excellence including Craig Hospital in Englewood, Colorado, Long Beach (California) Memorial Medical Center and The Institute of Rehabilitation and Research in Houston Texas. Dr. Parsons led in the development of the Consortium for Spinal Cord Medicine, under the sponsorship of the Paralyzed Veterans of America and helped in the development of multiple clinical practice guidelines of SCI related conditions. Dr. Parsons is presently a consultant for Paradigm Outcomes, a company that manages the medical and rehabilitation needs of persons who sustained catastrophic injuries in the workplace setting.
