February is National Heart Health Month! Dr. Marc Eisenberg from Columbia Eastside joins Dr. DeSilva to discuss risk factors for Heart Disease.
Dr. Marc Eisenberg, MD is one of the leading cardiologists at Columbia-Eastside’s Cardiology Department. He completed his undergraduate education at Columbia University before receiving his M.D. from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. Currently, Dr. Eisenberg holds the position of Assistant in Clinical Medicine at Columbia University. He is the recipient of the Michael H. Aronow Memorial Prize for humanistic qualities, and in 1997, he received the Housestaff Research Award. Dr. Eisenberg has spent the past seven years working through the Cardiology Division of Columbia University researching the hemostatic and immunologic factors in cardiac transplant recipients. Additionally, he is also doing research on the effects of transient triglyceridemia on vascular reactivity, and plasma asymmetric dimethylarginine levels in young healthy men without risk factors for coronary heart disease.
