Anemia in Infants & Children
Topic Info
More than 3.5 million children under the age of five die each year in developing countries due to maternal and child malnutrition. That’s why Lucy Liu is teaming up with the Heinz Micronutrient Campaign to combat one of the most widespread global health threats to infants and children…iron deficiency anemia, often considered a “hidden hunger.” Since 2001, nearly 5 million children in 15 developing countries have received life-changing vitamin and mineral powders through the campaign. Lucy joins Melanie Cole M.S. to discuss this campaign and how the public can get involved and make a difference in the lives of children.
