Dr. Joseph Hickey, founder of the Hickey Wellness Center in Hilton Head, SC, comes on the show to discuss Chelation Therapy. This therapy is able to safely extract the heavy metals from the body and be a possible viable treatment that reverses the symptoms of Parkinson’s Alzheimer’s, Fibromyalgia, and other known neurological diseases.

From 1980 to 1994, Dr. Hickey practiced Internal Medicine in his own private practice in his hometown of Peekskill. During that time, he was also a Clinical Instructor of Internal Medicine at New York Medical College and was instrumental in creating various community programs. He was the Assistant Police Surgeon for Peekskill Police Department, Town of Cortlandt Police Department and the New York State Troopers.
In 1994, he relocated to Hilton Head, South Carolina, where he joined an existing Internal Medicine Practice. In 2000, Dr. Hickey and his partner, founded The Heritage Medical Center.In 2004, Dr. Hickey opened The Hickey Wellness Center, a primary care, internal medicine facility. He has authored the book, Cholesterol Phobia!: The Reason America is Fat and Unhealthy, which focuses on obesity, heart disease and diabetes and how to prevent and cure such diseases. He research was published in a national peer review journal, Metabolic Syndrome and Related Disorders, on his study of heart disease and the low carbohydrate diet. In addition to providing primary care, Dr. Hickey is currently doing clinical research on Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease and ALS while furthering his research on heart disease, obesity and cholesterol.
