Dr Dan Levy, MD, FAAP joins Melanie Cole M.S. to discuss the media and the constant, unrelenting marketing of food to children. He will give parents valuable advice on how to avoid the onslaught of junk food commercials that children are subjected to on their TV shows, movies and other forms of media.
Dan Levy has been in pediatric practice in a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland, for 31 years. In addition to his general pediatric practice, he is a trained family therapist, and has specialized in behavioral and developmental problems in children and teens. He is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of Maryland, immediate past president of the Maryland Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the 2008 Pediatrician of the Year in Maryland. Dr. Levy has appeared on every major network, and is a national spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dan levy is married to Dr. Nancy Levy, is the father of two exceptional children, and the grandpa of two perfect little boys.
