Women's Health: Breast Cancer
Choosing the right place to receive treatment for breast cancer can mean the difference between better outcomes and not-so-great ones. Certain centers and hospitals treat the disease better than others. Without wading through mountains of data, how do you know which is which? It’s called accreditation, and two-thirds of women don’t know about it.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Joining the show is Dr. David Winchester from Northshore University Healthsystem, a Chicago area hospital and spokesperson for The American College of Surgeons. He will help women learn how to choose a facility for breast cancer treatment.
