Detecting Lung Cancer at Early Stage - Reduce Risk of Dying! FeaturedShow: Health Beat of America
Dr. Reggie Munden, M.D.
A recent study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that computerized tomography (CT or CAT scan) can detect lung cancer at an early stage and reduce an individual’s risk of dying from the disease. Lung cancer is diagnosed in nearly 200,000 Americans each year and is the leading cause of cancer death among men and women in the United States. Dr. Reginald "Reggie" Munden from the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center joins Rochelle to discuss the importance of screening for lung cancer.
