Dr. Thomas Swoboda is a clinical associate professor and residency program director in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. He completed his residency in general surgery at Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago and emergency medicine at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in Bronx, NY. His has focused academically on issues including psychiatric emergencies, social issues of emergency department patients and pain management, among others. Dr. Swoboda graduated from Dartmouth College in 1988, received a graduate degree from Brown University and his medical degree from Wayne State University, School of Medicine.
