As the Summer heats up, more people are at the pools. What can be done to keep them safe? Dr. Bruce Bonanno from Meadowlands Hospital joins the show to discuss how to stay safe this summer at the beach and by the pool.

Dr. Bruce Bonanno received his medical degree from St. George’s University Medical School in Grenada. His medical school experience included living and training in Grenada for two years (and a revolution) and England for one year. He initially trained in surgery in UMDNJ-Newark for two years before working the last 21 years in emergency rooms full time in various New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania hospitals, as well as on a cruise ship. Dr. Bonanno hosts a 30-minute television show "To Your Health" since it's inception in June 1996 on a 24-hour statewide news station, News12NJ. As the station’s medical consultant, he does weekly live segments on news broadcasts and health packages, as well as moderates and participates in one-hour specials. He does radio interviews and often is quoted in newspaper articles. Dr. Bonanno serves as president of the board of directors of the National Association of Medical Communicators, a member of the board of directors of the New Jersey Chapter of ACEP, and chair-elect of ACEP’s Public Relations Committee. He is on the teaching staff of St. George's University, its Admissions Committee, and the Alumni Affairs Board of Trustees.
