Summer can bring many outdoor activities, social outings, barbeques, etc. Many of us take for granted that many of the food choices we make drastically affects our health. Joining the show to help us make the right decisions is Registered Dietican from Mission Hospital, Elizabeth Krok.

Elizabeth Krok, RD, CDE, has been employed at Mission Hospital for 12 years, serving as supervisor of the Center for Sports and Wellness. Beyond her supervisory role, Krok is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator. She facilitates nutrition counseling, weight management programs and fitness activities for individuals with diverse needs, including expectant mothers with gestational diabetes and overweight children and teens. Krok holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from the University of California at Davis and completed her Dietetic Internship at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She approaches every patient with an understanding that each has very different needs and goals. She works closely with their physicians to ensure they get on the right track towards a better quality of life.
